High End Audio Brands
High end audio industry is very specific. Unlike in automotive industry where is very well known who is the best there is no “Ferrari” in high end industry. There are of course some brands with good reputation within audiophile community. However, since audiophile community is extremely diverse and high end companies extremely specialized in production of particular audio components it is virtually impossible to count the best 10 high end audio brands.
The term high end audio commonly refers to very expensive and/or to the quality of audio components which are purchased separately. This means you need choose between different brands of high end speakers, different brands of high end amplifiers and even different brands of high end cables. Apart from the fact that virtually every audiophile will give different answer to the question which brand is the best it is an art and science to achieve the perfect combination of different high end components from different manufacturers not to mention that even so carefully chosen high end components will not provide the ultimate sound quality in a room with bad acoustics.
The truth is that the vast majority of high end audio brands in the same price range provide very similar sound quality and often are decisive very small details. Generally speaking, you get as much as you give regardless which brand you choose and the chances you get a $4,000 high end audio system which would provide higher sound quality than a $35,000 one are minimal.
