High End Audio Cables

Achieving high sound quality as close as possible to live performance requires much more than just high sound quality source, high end loudspeakers and an amplifier. All audio components need to be connected with an audio cable through which passes audio signal from the source to the amplifier or from the amplifier to the speakers. However, choosing just any kind of cable might might not be a good idea.

The effect of different types of audio cables on the sound quality is still a matter of debate among audiophile but there is little doubt that the lower the price the lower the quality of materials (cooper is not just a cooper). If an audio cable can affect your audio system to function properly it most likely also affects the quality of the sound. On the other hand, it seems kind of inappropriate using ordinary audio cable for high end audio system, does not it?

The opponents of the high end audio cable claim their effect on the sound cannot be measured and that circumstanced listeners did not hear any difference in sound quality between high end and ordinary audio cable in a rigorous controlled tests. How can be a sound measured if we know that human sense of hearing is very subjective and that sound quality difference cannot be recognized by everyone? No disregards to average listeners but can an average listener hear the difference in sound quality between a 5,000 dollars speakers and 90,000 dollars speakers? No? In this case circumstanced listeners probably cannot be a reliable proof that there is no audible difference between high end and an ordinary audio cable.
